Restoring the Wickedness

This accomplished new collection of lyric poetry explores women’s history and contemporary issues from a feminist perspective. The realities of modern alienation and disenfranchisement are balanced by Tihanyi’s keen eye for possibilities of redemption and renewal. At times Tihanyi uses gaps in the oldest Biblical texts surrounding Eden and the Fall to restore a female version of history long ignored, while other poems address how these same issues influence and invest our daily lives.
